ILLUMINATION is a digital tapestry inspired by the relations of books, manuscripts and objects that connect peoples, communities, and cultures. The piece weaves ornamental elements and fragments from Romanesque, Renaissance, Armenian, Persian, and Byzantine manuscripts as well as Wampum belts from the Haudenosaunee and Onondaga cultures.
